A. Lots and Lotsa people. Just
try googling "poetry!" And even sports fans love poetry (click "National Football League" in the above page title).
So there!
Q. You mean - newspaper columns in poetry?
A. That's one place. But on-line pundits too!
Q. Free verse or rhymes?
A. Either, I guess. But if it doesn't rhyme will people
recognise that it's poetry?
Q. But how can you get facts and figures to rhyme?
A. You don't have to. Just link to anything on the web. And political cartoons have
been popular for centuries - without facts or figures. Political Poetry can do the same.
Q. Got an actual example?
A. Yes. Here's a 160 year-old example, but I'll bet you can't imagine a modern column being as effective.
Unless I've credited it to someone else
it's yours to use, to laud, or to throw rocks at, as long as yougive credit to RhymeCon
or PoeticPundit or http://RhymeCon.Tripod.com. Or maybe even link to this site. (It would also be neat if you'd tell me. I'm interested.)
Having reviewed your website, we come to the conclusion that so-called
conservatives are incapable of making anything like art beyond saluting, flag waving and boot polishing, with many a little
uber-jock sports fantasia thrown in just to work the chest hairs up to a patriotic fever pitch. Sir your site is crap and
our best advice would be to shut it down as quickly and mercifully as possible so as not to embarrass yourself furthur. Best
to go back to blaming everyone but yourselves for the failures of conservatives - one art the right excels at.
